Josmeet is a dating app for adults aged 18 and over. People under 18 are not allowed to use it. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and for child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
What is not allowed
- Any account belonging to someone under 18, or pretending to be an adult when they are not.
- Any sexual content involving a minor, including images, videos, drawings, AI-generated images and written descriptions.
- Grooming: contacting, befriending or manipulating a minor for sexual purposes.
- Sextortion, trafficking, or offering or asking for sex involving a minor.
- Sharing, asking for, or pointing others to child sexual abuse material anywhere, including off Josmeet.
How we keep minors off Josmeet
- You must give your date of birth when you sign up, and you must be 18 or over.
- Every member must take a live selfie in the app, which our team checks before the profile can be seen by others. A profile that looks like it may belong to someone under 18 is not approved.
- Our team reviews profile photos, and photos that break our rules are removed.
How to report it
- In the app: open the person's profile or your chat with them, tap Report, and choose May be under 18 or Sexual exploitation or involves a minor. These reports go to our team as our most urgent cases.
- By email: write to [email protected] with the subject "Child safety". Please don't attach or forward any image of a child; describe what you saw and where.
- If a child is in danger right now, call 112 (Nigeria's emergency number) or contact the police.
What we do
- An account suspected of belonging to someone under 18 is hidden and suspended straight away while we review it. If we confirm the person is under 18, we delete the account and ban it from signing up again.
- Any account involved in child sexual abuse or exploitation is removed and permanently banned. There are no warnings for this.
- We remove the content and keep no extra copies beyond what is needed to act on the report.
- We report child sexual abuse material to the relevant authorities: the Nigeria Police Force, the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).
- We cooperate with valid requests from law enforcement.
